Seasonal Salmon, Trout, and Togue fishing in the Moose River. Moosehead Lake (over 700,000 acres) is noted for Landlocked Salmon, Brook Trout and Lake Trout (Togue).
The Moosehead area offers outstanding hunting, with large, uninhabited forests providing excellent cover for Deer, Bear and small game.

Moose River is 18 miles away on the western side of Moosehead Lake, across from the sheer 800-foot cliffs of the scenic island Mt. Kineo Golf Course. Rockwood ferries passengers to where the luxurious Kineo Mountain House Resort once stood, "rusticators" journeying to it by train and boat from as far away as New York. Greenville and Rockwood pride themselves on their wide range of attractions.
Maynard's is in a quiet rural setting, sitting well back from a dead-end country road and the river. Badminton, Horseshoes and Swings can be enjoyed on our large lawns. We have a working farm with chickens, pigs, cats and a dog!
ANNUAL PIG ROAST RAISES FUNDS FOR DISEASE RESEARCH
Maynard's will be celebrating their 88th year as a family
owned business and it will be the 13th year for the Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser
on Labor Day Weekend. The Pig Roast to benefit CFF will be held on the weekend
of September 3rd, 2007. We will have live music for adults and children alike,
most of our music will be from the 50's and 60's. We'll have more information
for you later in the season.
