The visitor to Frost Pond Camps will feel they have stepped back in time, when everyday living followed a calmer, quieter pace.
Our seven housekeeping Cabins and ten Campsites are located on the shore of Frost Pond, in the heart of Maine's North Woods.
Guests use their time as they choose, for entertainment is strictly do-it-yourself, provided by woods and waters in all directions.

You have a choice of Camps:
On the Water or Nestled in the woods!
Our Cabins are equipped with gas lights, refrigerators and full size stoves with ovens, but do not have electrical outlets. Wood stoves provide heat in spring and fall. Six Cabins are scattered about our waterfront area. We also have two more Cabins, which are further down the shore.
CAMPSITES
A short distance from our Cabins, we have ten well-wooded Campsites directly on the pond shore. All are equipped with tables and fireplaces, and four have shelters over the tables. Because of the quiet isolation of Frost Pond, our Campsites are popular with Tenters, Fishermen, Older Folk, and Families with Children of all ages!
We also offer safe Docking for your Boat!
The Frost Pond area is perfect for families who like to swim, fish, hike, canoe, explore, or simply, relax. We also have two short but pleasant hiking trails which begin near the camps.

FISHING - BOATING - CANOEING
Frost Pond, 198 acres, is strictly a Brook Trout haven; squaretails of 1 1/2 pounds aren't uncommon. Use of worms is permitted on Frost Pond, but Little Frost is restricted to artificial lures only.
Nearby Chesuncook Lake and the West Branch of the Penobscot River are famous for Landlocked Salmon. Other Togue and Brook Trout lakes and streams are not far off. Roads and trails to a number of attractive Trout ponds are within convenient driving distance from the Camps.
HUNTING
If you're lucky enough to draw a Moose permit for Cental or South Central Zones, you will find Frost Pond Camps an ideal base! Our Moose hunters usually boast 100% success ratio; we do ask for a booking of a minimum of four nights.
In November, our hunters take their share of Deer and an occasional Bear. A maze of old and new logging roads can help to put the hunter onto a bragging buck. The "Big Woods" hunting experience is unique in this section of the country.

WE ALSO OPEN YEAR-ROUND FOR WINTER FUN!
SNOWMOBILING - CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING - ICE FISHING - SNOWSHOEING
